Haunted House Recap + Story of Mrs. Abbott

Haunted House Recap + Story of Mrs. Abbott

Halloween at Blackhawk on the River was a terrifying sight at the first annual Blackhawk Haunted House. Guests braved the haunted cellar filled with creepy-crawlers, spider webs and eerie music. Those brave enough sampled brains and eyeballs of naughty children (otherwise known as spaghetti noodles and boiled pearl onions) all under the watchful eye of the infamous Blackhawk witch! After surviving the haunted cellar, kids of all ages bobbed for apples, carved pumpkins and decorated cupcakes before fueling up for trick-or-treating at the potluck dinner.

One guest in particular truly got into the “spirit” of Halloween. Mrs. Abbott, a former resident at the Blackhawk Ranch House oversaw the entire event from afar. According to the stories passed down from generation to generation, Mrs. Abbott was accidentally killed when she was run over by a run-away horse and buggy in the driveway of the Ranch House. From that time, all those who have lived at the Ranch House claim to have seen Mrs. Abbott from time-to-time as she watches over those who reside in her home.

I was wondering what Jil was drinking in the photo. Also is there a recipe for it and wondering too if it is traditional to drink straight from the bowl or not. I have an Xmas party coming up, so just wondering.
