Summer Riding Lessons

Sara on Scoobie Doo
Blackhawk Equestrian Center Director Jil Wickander will be sharing her extensive knowledge of horses with the next generation throughout the summer months.
This last week, Jil spent an afternoon with Sara who learned about grooming a horse, how to identify different types of saddle pads and how to saddle a horse. Scoobie Doo, a favorite of the Blackhawk horses, provided Sara with the opportunity to practice bridling, starting and stopping a horse, and how to neck rein.
By the end of the afternoon, Sara was a cowgirl in the making! If you would like more information on riding lessons with Jil, please contact her at (208) 630-4348.
