Farmer Jil's Barnyard Day

Farmer Jil and her "chicks"
Kids from the Mountain Life School in McCall, Idaho spent an afternoon with “Farmer Jil,” a nickname bestowed upon our Equestrian Center Director Jil Wickander by the kids who attended Blackhawk’s final Barnyard Visit event of the summer.
After helping to feed the horses, guinea hens, chickens and turkeys, our junior farmers picked purple string beans, yellow wax beans and red and green lettuce from the garden (and ate most of what they picked to feul up for pony rides!).
Cinnamon, Sissy and Scooby Doo, three of Blackhawks trusty steeds, were saddled up for pony rides throughout the rest of the afternoon and transformed our junior farmers into junior cowhands!
If your family would like to spend an afternoon with “Farmer Jil,” please call to set up a tour with Jil at (208) 630-4348.
