Here’s what SnoWest magazine had to say about snowmobiling in McCall:
“McCall built its reputation on the beautiful scenery and excellent snow conditions that surround the valley, which has long attracted skiers, both downhill and cross country. But while skiing has been busy building itself up to be one of the best ski destinations in Idaho, sledders have been working to establish McCall as a winter hotspot for motorized recreation. Their efforts are paying off as evidenced by McCalls move up in the survey.
“Nearly 500 miles of groomed trails await sledders with several hundred more ungroomed miles criss-crossing this part of west central Idaho. Most of the groomed trails are west of McCall and continue south to Cascade. The Winter Wonderland Trail connects McCall to Smiths Ferry, about a three-hour ride.”
