Like you, we’re inspired by the natural gifts that make McCall, Idaho such an incredible place. From the mountain views to the herds of elk, moose, fox, deer, bald eagles, osprey, wildflowers and other species that make their home here. We feel that, with these gifts, comes a responsibility to preserve and enhance them for future generations. So from the start, we’ve made environmental stewardship a cornerstone of our development approach.
Wildlife Preserve
One of the best natural amenities at Blackhawk on the River is our protected 364-acre Wildlife Preserve. This Preserve encompasses several miles of Payette River frontage and over 13 miles of braided river side channels that we have designated as a conservation easement with the Payette River Land Trust. This area includes important wildlife habitat for elk, moose, trout, cranes, and many more species.
River Trail
As a homeowner at Blackhawk on the River you can enjoy miles of non-motorized trails that wind throughout the Preserve perfect for hiking and mountain biking in the summer and Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. This pristine trail puts you right in the center of the natural beauty that makes living in McCall so special.
